One Night from Station to Home

LAST NIGHT

Night, the time people want to enjoy the greatest moments of their life it may be lying on the bed, listening the rain outside, thinking about the person they love, taking a long drive on a calm road, a sweet and emotional conversation with their beloved ones, holding hands of your wife/husband etc….

But there are so many persons today not only in India but in whole world who don’t dare to think about these things. They can only think how they will get their meal or where they will be safe while sleeping. Yes you are right, I am talking about the persons who are below poverty line and don’t have the basic needs fulfilled “Food, Clothes, Roof and Medical Treatment”.

Last night my Hero was coming from America to Delhi by flight and Delhi to Lucknow via Train. As he stepped out of the Train he saw too many persons sleeping at platform. He was shocked to see a mother and a small child trying to cover their selves in a single blanket they have. Ok he came out of the station and just saw beggars outside the station in torn clothes and still begging for a Rupee. I received him at the station and we were coming back in my car when he saw the persons sleeping on footpath.

After all we came to my home which was built on a 3200 sq foot plot with 3 members to live and 3 rooms fully air-conditioned. On dining table with so many varieties of delicious dishes when we started to eat my friend told me what he had seen. And we were no more able to eat last night. We silently got up and went to our room and I also switched off my A.C. and felt the cold which 27% of Indians are feeling.
